About

Gavin Beattie is a graphic designer, illustrator and screen print artist working from a home studio in Wicklow, Ireland. In 2006, Gavin, along with old friend and collaborator Brenb, set up Tiny Little Horse - a design and poster art collective producing limited edition, hand-screenprinted posters for bands touring and playing Europe and Ireland including Mudhoney, Osees, Sleep, The War on Drugs, Eagles of Death Metal, Mastodon, Ministry, The Sonics, Swans, Melvins, Battles and many more.

As well as Tiny Little Horse’s gig poster work, Gavin runs a one man graphic design studio geared specifically for design for print and covering corporate identity and branding, print advertising, signage, POS, as well as brochure and magazine work.

In addition to that, Gavin set up www.irish-art-prints.com, hand-pulled screenprints based on the theme of 20th Century travel posters produced by tourism boards, the AA and the RAC. These are all based on original photographs taken throughout Ireland and crafted to produce limited edition, signed, stamped and numbered prints of many Irish places of interest such as Galway, Dublin City, Belfast and so on.

Tiny Little Horse’s work has appeared in various print shows including Absolut DIY 2014, Flatstock Europe (Hamburg) 2009/10/14/16/18, Proof Print Club, 2014, Offset 2010/11/12 (Dublin), “Gigposters” (Kentucky Museum of Art), Synth Eastwood: Flags (Dublin), Oscillations (Belfast) and 'Rock Poster Art' - ONO Gallery of Contemporary Art, Bologna.
